Starting today 12/3/07 and ending the evening of 14/3/07, Library IT will be making changes to the programming behind the current ‘online request form’ for CL Warehouse and Theses. For these 3 days, this system will not work very well, but Central Library staff will continue to receive and process the requests.
On Thursday 15/3/07, if all has gone according to plan, the new process for the collection of items in Storage will be in place and the new ‘Storage request form’ will be in use. This form will cover the collection of all items held in the Warehouse and Law Basement for Law, EL, PSL as well as Central. Theses held in the Special Collections Room will be requestable through Horizon.
Once the new system is in place, borrowers will be able to choose pickup location for their request.
On Thursday, library staff will be asked to make themselves familiar with new web pages covering this system of Storage Requests. Branch Lending specialists have received training in the new processes and can share with you if you have questions.
