Thing #2 is about reviewing the ideas behind lifelong learning. Tasks are:
- listen and read the PLCMC Library post (optional)
- follow the “Seven and 1/2 Habits of Highly Successful Lifelong Learners” tutorial (about 14 minutes)
- As you’re following the tutorial, write down which habit among the 7 & 1/2 is easiest for you and which is hardest.
- Post a comment here – either comment on the ‘lifelong learning’ tutorial or just say you’re ready for thing #3. (Comments can be anonymous.)
Have fun!
(If you missed it, Thing #1 is here, but you’re probably safe to skip it if you want.)
You can get through the tutorial even faster by reading the notes at the left hand side and clicking ‘next’ while the narrator’s still talking. 🙂
I find the first habit (start with the end in mind) easiest – no problem coming up with beautiful visions of the future when I’ll be fluent in Latin, Medieval Danish, etc. The hardest is seeing problems as challenges – once I hit a bump I often get sidetracked away from it by beautiful visions of me being brilliant at something else. 🙂
