In early January we will be reviewing how the visits to researchers is going. In preparation for this, please make sure that the contact database is up-to-date. Links to the contacts database can be found on Camelot on the Research repository page . Please ring Library IT is you have any problems with this database.
There is also a new reports section on this page to help track where an output is in the system. We will be working on improving this over the next few months.
If you have any concerns or issues with the processes or visits please add a comment or email me directly as I am keen to know how this are going. Thanks, Anne.
I face identifical questions everytime I go on an Institutional Repository visit. The first question I face is why can’t the library edit the publication details out of my last known copy of a journal article as these are often prepared in a camera ready format. If the Library could do this then the number of contributions available from bio and geol science people would be greatly increased. The second question I face is from those academics who have final copies with the figures saved in separate files and they are not happy to have these loaded separately. I am wondering if there are ways to make it easier for these science people to contribute?
