When running the “Expired and cancelled holds” report, staff sometimes find a “stuck hold”. Previously these have been reported to Library IT for deletion. Library IT have created a report that will let you delete these stuck holds yourself. From the Camelot home page, go to Horizon Reports > Horizon Database Changes > Requests, and select “Delete stuck hold”.
Enter the item barcode, and click “Submit”. If the right borrower and item information displays, click “Verify”. The report will tell you if the hold has been deleted. If there are any errors, or if the wrong borrower is listed, do not proceed. Click the “Reject” button and email Library IT with details.
