Next Monday there’s going to be some work done on the fire exits, taking away our present stairs and replacing them with new ones. This means that for a couple of days the fire exits will open onto thin air and in the event of an emergency people who try to exit through them will find themselves imitating Wile E. Coyote.

To prevent this, our friendly construction workers are going to brace the doors shut from the outside with timber and we’ll put signs up from Sunday night warning people not to use these exits in the event of an emergency, but to go down via the central stairs.

FM are aware of this. Things should be back to normal from Wednesday.
