Logging in has been clarified for staff and students who do NOT have a UC login and password.
– These people need to login to My Account using their library barcode.
– Their INITIAL pin will now also be their barcode.
– Existing borrowers in this category who have NOT yet changed their pin will have their pin changed on Thursday 1 May 2008.
– Anyone in this group who has used the Library in 2008 will be notified of this change by email.
Nothing has changed for other borrower groups.
– Everyone with a UC login and password should use this to login to My Account
– Reciprocal borrowers (ULANZ and CTA) and external borrowers should use their barcode as their login. Their INITIAL pin will consist of the last 4 digits of their phone number followed by their initials (2 letters). All borrowers in this category are told their initial pin when they join.
Note: Borrowers who need to use a pin may have changed it and forgotten that they have done so. In any cases where there is confusion, the pin should always be reset. The reset pin will then be the same as the barcode. Do not reset the pin for borrowers with an IT Account. They should be referred to the IT helpdesk or Library IT
The Library pin help page will change on Thursday to reflect the above.
