I have put another bin in the Edu staffroom that we can use for paper towels and foodscraps. I will empty this into the foodscrap bin outside. I admit it’s not very pretty but hopefully it will reduce our waste to landfill. C

We have a bokashi bin for food scraps in our staff room. We got if from CCC for I think about $30 with the culture. It is not unpretty and seems very effective but I don’t think can take paper. More info on bokashi at http://www.ccc.govt.nz/Wast…

I am wrong – according to the brochure it can take ’tissue paper’
We have a bokashi bin at home- I like the fact you can stuff a lot in before you have to empty it.
There’s a food scraps bin just outside the library so the idea is that we’ll transfer our staffroom scraps straight into that.
