As part of the Electronic Book Project (Project 39) we are conducting a survey of Library users to find out how ebooks are being used. As an incentive, 10 prizes of a $20 MTA voucher are on offer. Links to the survey are being placed on the homepage, Databases page and Ebooks page. Printed surveys forms are also being provided at the Help Desk and Lending Desks.
Please draw users’ attention to the survey and ensure that all of your academic contacts are aware of it. Blog owners, please include information about the survey, and a link to the online form, in your Library blogs. The competition ends at the end of the month and winners will be drawn in the first week of November.
The Project page will be updated as the project progresses so please have a look at it and email any suggestions to the Project Team, or post comments to Counterculture.
Please note: Library staff are welcome to complete the survey but are not eligible to enter the prize draw.

maybe the library should be a little greener and give ebook vouchers instead of petrol vouchers?
I’ve got green trousers and libraries are anything but green; they’ve been around since before Alexandria. As for petrol vouchers, students have had enough of books for the year and are off soon doing summer things. Anyway, these vouchers can be used for books/magazines, munchies, etc, anything but petrol, if the winners choose. As for environmentally green, we are doing green weeding…

The vouchers can be used for anything purchased from the service station. Snifters, perhaps, before they go out of production.
I agree with Adam that MTA vouchers send the wrong signal. They do not fit with the sustainable strategic direction that the university is moving in. But it is a small point that we can easily fix for the next time. I do support the survey. Anne
