Lending staff have had some confusion with books ‘found’ lying around the library that have no library stamps but are known to have come from the Green elephant book sale. We asked Collections to ensure that all donations have a cancelled stamp.

Collections have confirmed that ‘any items that do not have a stamp have originated from sources unknown. They suspect that even other university staff may have added their own books to the table because they have come across ones which have had lecturer names in them… They also thinks that Library staff may have added books as well.’

If Library staff are adding their own books, please get Collections or Lending to add a cancelled stamp so that the book doesn’t end up in Lost Property’ if left around the Library. We’ll just put it back on the sales table.
