Topomap has recently been updated (see MapToaster for details) and you may get people reporting problems with access since they last used it. It should be fine in the Library but other parts of the Campus have had difficulty getting access.
Peter K offers a solution: “About the only thing I can suggest is that they try reinstalling W3 Launch software through the Add/Remove section of the Control Panel. That should let the Web link connect through to the database. If it does not, then I’d recommend them including on their desktops a shortcut that goes straight to the link [on the Campus installation notes page] as that does give quicker access.
The underlying problem is that Topomap is not web software, so requires the W3 Launch application if it is to be run from a web browser. This doesn’t work with all browsers, and often disappears every time a PC is replaced or reinstalled.”
