Some of you may already have come across students who overnight have lost their research student status and become undergraduates. This unannounced event has occured because the ‘Postgraduate flag’ was removed from at least 5 courses on Jade and caused the reload of approximately 800 student records and a consequent downgrade of their library status. Known courses are:

Graduate Diploma in Teaching & Learning; Graduate Diploma in Management; Postgraduate Certificate in Antarctic Studies; Postgraduate Diploma in Social Work; Graduate Diploma in Accounting and Information Systems

Once discovered, this was reported to College of Education and is being discussed with the Manager of Jade. It may be reversed. If not, there will be a number of baffled students who have out more than their new quota of 25 items and on long term loan. Please assure them that this is being followed up.
