Academic Audit – Role of University as Critic and Conscience

Currently on campus there are a range of committees working on various aspects of a general academic audit. One audit committee is looking how the University knows it is effectively fulfilling the role of critic and conscience of society. We would very much appreciate a quick response from you to the question below or any part of it.

Take a moment to reflect on your activities as critic and conscience.

i. Do you think that the University is aware of these activities?

ii. Have you seen the University actively champion the role of staff as critic and conscience or actively eliminate barriers to it?

iii. Have you ever felt inhibited in taking the role of critic and conscience?

Please identify whether you are academic or general staff and reply to the CCCommittee

Grateful thanks.
