Usability testing on the subject guides is planned to take place during the week 21-25 September. Sessions with students will be run on Monday and Tuesday afternoon (21 and 22 Sept), and throughout the day on Thursday and Friday (24 and 25 Sept). Exact times, and the subject area of the each student will be confirmed nearer the time.

Observers will be able to see and hear what the students are doing. The student’s screen, and their face, will be projected on the wall in the Central Library Level 4 seminar room, so there is plenty of room for a number of observers.

Usability testing like this is very revealing, and it’s always worth coming along to see how students are really using the online resources we spend so much time and money making available. So please pencil these dates into your diary and plan to come to a number of different sessions.
