Yes thanks to the hard work of all libraries, all librarians, professional and para professional the online search statistics have risen by 68%. It has been a collaborative effort to find the resources, evaluate the resources, establish the resources and then to publish and continue to support them.
Peter – you have made my day!!! I love it – my very own font and i actually like it too! It’s not really bitter enough looking to represent sarcasm though.
They have now changed the wording on the revised Project STAR homepage about the library:
When we say world-class learning environment, we mean a place where libraries, information technology and learning work spaces are linked seamlessly and allow students to collaborate successfully and learn together anywhere on campus – be it the lecture room, the library or over coffee.
They haven’t changed the section further down the page:
"The University wants a world-class learning environment – that means an environment where learning can take place anywhere. Imagine accessing the library from your flat or tutorial room."
Also have a look at the revised Project STAR homepage: http://www.canterbury.ac.nz…
Below the title is this gem:
"Imagine accessing the library from your flat or tutorial room. That’s what this is about."

Yes, and I thought we had been doing this for the last 10 years or more. Anne

The problem with stats from 2005 is that they do not include the College of Education. The first year is 2006. Anne
