Since we upgraded to Office 2007 we have been getting queries and complaints about the speed and responsiveness of the new Outlook email client.
We would like to get a better picture of exactly how widespread this problem is for library staff, and what factors might be contributing to it.

If you are having problems with Outlook, can you please read the following and contact Library IT and give us the details requested.

What we need to know…

1. What is your computer username. ie sgb60
2. What type of outlook problems are you experiencing.
3. How big is your outlook mail box. This can be found by doing the following.

Right-Click on your Mailbox in Outlook and select Properties

Then Left-Click on the Folder Size button

Finally make a note of the Total Size of your mailbox.

Email all this info to Library IT
