ScienceDirect and Scopus will be unavailable early Sunday morning (29 August, 12.30am – 9am) while upgrades are made as part of the new SciVerse platform.
Following this, SciVerse Hub Beta will be launched. SciVerse Hub brings together ScienceDirect, Scopus and web content from Scirus, so that one search can be performed across all content. ScienceDirect and Scopus will still be available separately under their new names SciVerse ScienceDirect and SciVerse Scopus. It won’t mean any big changes, just the addition of the SciVerse logo.
Summary (from Elsevier marketing):
• SciVerse Hub – Find the data you need with one click
• SciVerse ScienceDirect – Access peer reviewed full-text articles
• SciVerse Scopus – Search millions of abstracts and index data
• SciVerse SciTopics* – Find trusted, relevant research summaries
• SciVerse Applications* – Endless possibilities
* Later this year SciTopics will be moved to the SciVerse platform and early next year SciVerse Applications will provide a place for scientific applications and community collaboration.
