A program is now available from the Horizon Reports page under “Earthquake Resources”. Thanks to Catherine for getting this up and running yesterday.

The program will change the location and collection codes of Central items returned to branch libraries, and save the original location and collection codes. At this stage, it is only available to Law and Education, but we can extend this to other branches if required.
To use the program:
– Physically transfer the item to the branch where it will be held (no need to check it in).
– Select the appropriate branch from the drop-down list and scan in the barcodes.
– Check-in the items to remove the “temporarily unavailable” status and allow requests and loans.
I will be visiting the Law and Education Libraries today to provide some training to staff.

Some people have asked for the number of Central items currently on loan to get an idea of shelf space required.
There are currently 17,961 Central items in circulation. 382 of these are out to distance borrowers.
