Many thanks to all the staff who have assisted in the packing up of level three. Many boxes were packed yesterday however today we came to a standstill waiting on a new supply of boxes.
There is still 15 stacks of 70 shelves each to pack up. So another days work at least. Some of the stacks are in the area which was affected by the broken water pipe, so we need to ensure that anyone willing to work in this area as overalls on and that they are using face mask with a respiratory valve on it.
I will advise the managers when a new supply of boxes has been received.
If you are able to assist I ask that you sign in at the front entrance, put a hard hat on and a high visibility vest and come in to the library. Please use the stairs in the middle of Level 2 to come up to level 3. There is scaffolding there but no one is working on it. It is not longer acceptable to come in to level 2 without a hard hat so if there are none left at the entrance then call me 0274 504 201.
The staff stairwell is not to be used.
