Staff Training in EndNote (mid-year break)

I will run this session, which is mainly aimed at frontline staff to develop their knowledge.

The session will focus on problemsolving: what staff could be expected to answer immediately and what sort of queries need to be referred to “the experts.”

To help in my preparation, it would be great to have examples of the sorts of EndNote questions frontline staff have fielded recently. Feel free to post here or email me.

  1. I had an enquiry during the weekend about how to add the publication details for a press release from a government department through Endnote. That stumped me.

  2. I should add, I haven’t had Endnote training. I figured out how to add records from the catalogue with a borrower several weeks ago but it was a case of the blind leading the blinder. So getting some training will be very useful.

  3. Hi John, The workaround that needs to occur when using MultiSearch and a Mac and EndNote might be worth covering. I had this question recently. Caroline.

  4. Hi Caroline, I’ve got a Mac and haven’t had any problems downloading records from MultiSearch to EndNote X5 via Firefox. I think I’ve heard of other people with issues but I haven’t been able to replicate the problem no matter what I do and would really like to gather more details about it. Deborah
