As usually happens each year, we are putting a hold on registering external borrowers from Monday February 11 (this Monday) to Thursday February 28. This is mainly because of the pressures on the Canterbury Card Office with the beginning of the new academic year. I have arranged for the library webpage to be updated to advise potential applicants. Please advise any potential borrowers at the desk that we are unable to register them as borrower until after the peak enrolment period, but that they are welcome to browse the collection.

Due to the problems we’ve had with producing cards for external borrowers, we are introducing a new process this year that is more streamlined and will enable external borrowers to register at any time. I am hoping this will be ready to go by February 28. Training will be organised shortly.
