Thank you all so much for the wonderful send off and the beautiful farewell gifts. It has taken me a good fortnight to calm down enough to be able to write something after the flurry of the past few weeks!! I have survived my first week in my new job. I’m getting used to being in a large open plan office and not being able to contol other people’s noise let alone make as much as I usually do myself!! And being in a ‘paperless office’ is a huge culture shock for the [ancient]hoarder archivist come librarian in me! But the other people are great and there are all sorts of interesting projects happening that I’m slowly starting to understand and hope to assist with.

Thank you all for being such good friends and colleagues over the years. I learned so much from you all in my time at the University and I very much look forward to catching up with you in the future, both privately and professionally. I’m going to try not to haunt the Macmillan Brown Library, and wish everyone all the very best.
