Hi all
Thanks for bearing with us today – the upgrade has been mostly successful – Horizon 7.5.2 and the new HIP are running nicely.
We are still having problems with Horizon reports and some other programs like PaymentPlus, etxts, ULANZ registration forms, dynamic webpages (databases pages, hours page, borrowing quotas e.t.c. pretty much any URL ending in .php) . They are still connecting to the old Horizon database and so are potentially out of date.
For this reason please continue to NOT run Horizon reports, paymentplus, ULANZ e.t.c. (request pull lists are fine as they are running from Horizon circulation reports).
Those of you that didn’t get the new Horizon 7.5.2 client install, we’ll send your computer names to ICTS and they will hopefully get the new version of Horizon onto your PC’s some time tomorrow (we’ll keep you posted about progress on this).
Some things customer services staff should be aware of:
– Auto recall will not have happened today so eligible items haven’t been recalled (we’re hoping this’ll be back up and running tomorrow and can do it manually if not)
– Notices have been run (by us) so holds and overdue notices e.t.c. will have been sent out. We will run the notices again tomorrow morning.
– For people off-campus – the new catalogue may take a day or so to come through (ISP cache some sites) so some people will be trying to use the old HIP (which is still running on the old Horizon database) which is set up for searching only (logging in to their accounts is still disabled).
Thank you all for your patience 🙂
Kind Regards,
Romy (on behalf of e-services)
