Te Rôpû Whakahau Macmillan Brown Library Professional Development Day

The Macmillan Brown Library will be hosting members of Te Rôpû Whakahau tomorrow for a professional development day.

Aurelia is the Te Rôpû Whakahau organiser for this event. She has been working with Nekerangi, Caroline, Tania Nutira from Ngai Tahu, and I to plan the day. The purpose of the visit is for members of Te Rôpû Whakahau to come together for professional networking and to learn about the Macmillan Brown Library and what is in the collections.

The programme includes presentations by Nekerangi on the Library’s Mâori resources, and Macmillan Brown Library collection specialists on the heritage collections – Jamie on Art Collections, Caroline on Pacific published collections, Erin on Archives and I will speak about Special collections and rare books.

18 people have registered for the event – including presenters.
Presentations and discussion will take place in the Aotearoa Room reader space followed by a tour.
