AskLive – suggestion to improve service

HI all

As part of the AskLive Review, library staff were asked to provide feedback on our AskLive service, and would like to share with you one helpful suggestion which I feel has benefit to us all immediately, particularly as the chat connection seems quite unstable at present.

The suggestion was at the start of the chat to ask for the username of the person asking the question, so if the connection is lost, it is possible to contact them to complete the conversation. Also, it would be useful to provide your name, (eg, Hello, I’m Isabel, how can I help”?) as first response in the chat.
