There are 6 older titles which we have either withdrawn or have been donated and they are not required by the Library. The Library are offering these titles to UC staff ahead of the 7 August book giveaway. The titles are mostly sets with publication dates between 1886 and 1920. They therefore carry a higher value than most of the withdrawn items. Anne and Alex have given their approval for all UC staff to be offered the titles. The first message will appear in Intercom this Friday. The titles will be able to be viewed in the LAC workroom. I have attached the document which will be linked to Intercom here.

None of these titles were required by the other NZ University Libraries and the auction houses the Library uses did not recommend taking the books to auction. Names of all staff interested in a title will be put into a ballot and one name drawn for each title on 6 August. If you have enquiries which you cannot answer – please refer them to me. Thanks Joan
