Kia ora koutou,
I’d like to share my recently completed MIS INFO580 research report. The study looked at ebook use at UC and may be of use to anyone interested in ebooks.
Some sections of the study did not receive as much editing and proof reading as I would have liked so please ignore typos etc.
It has not yet been added to the Victoria Research Archive (repository) so I have just attached the file to this post.
Feel free to contact me with any questions or comments.

Thanks for posting this up Nick. Some very interesting stuff to read through in there. Shall I print it out for more detailed study & better reading comprehension 😉

You could but then you can’t make use of full-text search functionality 😀
Yes it looks very impressive. Have skimmed but will read again in more detail. Thanks Nick
Well done Nick, you make a number of revealing points in bringing to light UC academics’ and PhDs’ preferences about ebooks, including this comment from your conclusion (p. 51): “…only about half of the participants found ebooks provided by the University of Canterbury Library easy to find meaning that some work is needed to make ebooks more accessible or that more marketing is needed.”
Yes that was interesting, Max, although a much higher percentage of people had used a UC ebook. I think it would be good to investigate that further to find out what exactly is making them hard to find or creating the perception that they are hard to find.
