Education Library Move – Update from Project Group

Kia ora koutou,

In order to support the College of Education staff and students while they remain on the Dovedale campus during Semester One 2017 and minimise the disruption for students and staff using the Central Library on the Ilam campus there will be two moves to relocate the Education library collection to the Central Library.

December 2016

  • The Library of Congress material located on the second floor of the Education library will be moved to Central Library in Dec 2016, to be interfiled into Central’s collection in December and January.

July 2017

  • Distance Services will remain at Education Library until mid-semester break in July 2017.
  • The Classroom Collection located downstairs on level one, as well as High Demand will remain at Education Library until  the mid-semester break in July 2017 when it will be moved to level 4 of Central Library.  This move is expected to align with the College move to Ilam.

Further details on the services available at the Education Library in Semester One 2017 will be available at a later stage.  Access to the Education Library of Congress material will still be available through the usual request mode.

Ngā mihi

Rā Steer (on behalf of the EDU Move Project Team)
