A Sense of Unease exhibition in the Matariki Gallery

Morena!

We have a new exhibition on show in the Matariki Gallery. The staff at MB have had fun finding weird, creepy and unsettling items hidden away in our collections. Of particular interest to those in PJH – Ronnie van Hout’s self portrait ‘End Doll’ which Coral on more than one occasion described as ‘that creepy Chucky doll’. I’m being a bit provocative here but  I  was just wondering, seeming how it’s out now, perhaps the staff at PJH would like me to return to permanent display on level two once the show is over? Let me know your thoughts!van Hout uc apc 1173 closeup

  1. A close-up to haunt my dreams, made worse by the discovery that the hair on the doll’s head is the artist’s!

I think, on behalf of Centralites, I can confidently decline your kind offer Lydia. I suggest a locked cupboard.
