Education Collection Location update

Kia ora koutou,

All the material on open shelves at the Education Library will be relocated.

The Library of Congress collection, i.e. material on level 2 of the Education Library will be relocated to Central Library. This material will be interfiled into the current collection. This means it will be shelved alongside other material from the same subject area. This material will be held on floors 11-5 of Central Library. The current provisional date for the move of this material is December 2016.

The Dewey collection, i.e. material on level 1 of the Education Library will also be relocated to Central Library. This material will be kept as a discrete collection. This means it will be shelved in a specially designated space on floor 4 of Central Library. The current provisional date for the move of this material is July 2017.

Material such as AV, Kits and DVDs, Readers, School Journals, Māori Collection will be moved as part of the Dewey collection move.

Ngā mihi,

Rā Steer (on behalf of the EDU Relocation Project group).
