We have now submitted our 2015 CAUL statistics. Many thanks to all who contributed to the data and especially to Peter H for pulling the data together in time for CAUL’s deadline and completing the deemed list for the electronic resource counts.

Publicly accessible data is available on the CAUL website. The current five years are embargoed. We have a login to access the last 5 years however there are guidelines we need to follow for the ethical use of embargoed data. For instance we can compare our results with peer institutions however we are expected to do this in a confidential way.
CAUL have set up a project to lead a review of the CAUL statistics. We look forward to being involved in this in due course. From the CAUL brief February 2016: “The purpose of the survey is to gather information for a comprehensive review of the current uses and usefulness of the CAUL Statistics. This will enable CAUL to identify gaps in data collection, ensure data elements reflect both current practice and context, and also to document best practice exemplars of uses of the statistics for both benchmarking and demonstrating value.”
