Q 1 : Click on the kowhaiwhai on the UC home page.   What do the UC colours red, black/grey and white signify?

A : The black/grey represents “Te Po” the darkness, the red represents the blood that was spilt, the white represents “Te Ao Marama” – the light.  See : http://www.canterbury.ac.nz/maoristudents/kowhaiwhai.shtml

Q  2 :   On the UC page for Māori students there is a video, what were some of the positive things some students have experienced at UC?

 A : Motorsports and rugby, among other things!

Q 3 :  There are two study centres for Māori students on campus, providing teaching and learning space and kitchen facilities.   Where are these located?

A : Te Whare Akonga o Te Akatoki, Ilam Road, and Te Puna i Te Ora at Dovedale

Q 4 :  Who is eligible for the Tuakana Mentoring Programme?

A : New to UC Māori students
