Good example of discerning research from opinion

This is a great example of when a scientist’s opinion has been taken out of context.  A great object lesson, and could be a useful example for those teaching information literacy.

  1. And there are certainly other examples of journalists’ getting it very wrong, eg. Robert Hughes account of his near fatal road accident in Western Australia after which he was pilloried in the press: Things I didn’t know : a memoir / by Robert Hughes. (NY : Knopf, 2006), ch. 1: ‘A Bloody Expat’ – that chapter title says it all!
