If you are still using Office 2010, it would be a good idea to upgrade to Office 2013 now. We recommend it as something to do before going home for the night so your PC can toil away and restart as needed.
I have updated the procedure on Camelot to take account of the new Software Center that ITS are using to provide software.
There are two reasons why this has become more important. The first is that if you log on to another PC with a different version of Office, you may have problems with your email. The second is to do with telephones. The University is moving to computer-controlled phones (as the old Switchboard cannot be repaired if it breaks) – using technology called Skype for Business. This works best with Office 2013.
Give eServices a call if you have any questions.
Upgraded yesterday at the end of work day and the step-by-step guide works well. Thanks Peter.
