***UPDATE: a report has now been added to Borrower Registration Reports Horizon reports page to allow staff to re-approve student borrower records if they have now paid their fees.
Re-approve student applicant borrowers who have paid fees***
Kia ora koutou
Applicant students who have not paid their fees on time have now had their IT accounts suspended and their library borrower accounts unapproved. If affected students are unable to CKO items and come to the desk, check if their records have been unapproved (page 3 of the edit borrower menu). There will also be a “;unapproved as fees not paid mja 7/3/17” note in the notes field on the same page.
We should be notified automatically by IT when a student’s fees are paid and the records re-approved, but, as this is a new process it’s possible some people might slip through the gaps.
If a student claims to have paid their fees you can check by asking them to log in to MyUC. If this works the record can be approved again and the note removed. Only staff who deal with borrower registration (e.g Jack Arron, Sandra Gover, Angela Berry, Jan Scandlyn, Rā Steer, Tim O’Sullivan) will be able to do this.
