Re: the discussion about the Press microfilm I think it would be sad if we discard the post 1946 film (in the June minutes “leave to CCL”).
While there is some e-coverage for the Press in Papers Past up to 1945, and in Factiva from mid 1996 on, there is still a gap for the 1946 to 1995 period. The CCL film is held at Peterborough St and that Library is closed in the evenings so access is limited.
Our Press microfilm may not be heavily used and it may be taking up space but it is our local newspaper and a valuable historical resource. Better to move the post 1946 film to MB I think, and look at discarding the pre 1945 film which is now digitized in Papers Past.
