AskLive updates – refresh your browser cache

Kia ora koutou

Some of you may have been experiencing problems logging in to AskLive recently, or have noticed some subtle changes.  LibraryH3lp (AskLive vendors) have put in small updates over the last 2 weekends.  They also had a hardware failure over the past weekend which caused additional problems (this has now been resolved).

To make sure you pick up the updated webchat/webclient version – go to the AskLive login link using your preferred browser and hold the SHIFT key down while hitting F5 – this should refresh your browser cache for AskLive.  See the screenshots below of the old vs the new Login to work out whether you are now seeing the right screen.AskLive update

If you are still seeing the older version after doing SHIFT-F5 you will probably need to clear your whole browser cache.

The update gives you the option of floating chat windows that you can self-arrange rather than the default which is to split the screen into even sized windows when you are chatting to more than one person at a time.  So kind of going back to what they used to have in the old webchat… read more on this blog post for how to set this up.
