To everyone that uses LibCal (e.g. for Library Workshops, staff development and training/teaching sessions)…

Springshare have added quite a few nice event management features in their latest LibCal update.

If you log in to view one of your existing events you’ll see a new manage event option – we now have (finally) the ability to mark attendance and email just the attendees :).

Another potentially useful feature is the Event Template area.  Admins (e.g. e-services, Kiera and Fiona T) can set up templates so if you can see where one might be useful (especially for repeated sessions/events) contact e-services and we’ll set one up.  The templates contain preset fields that you can alter if necessary when you create a new event.  They’ll potentially save you a fair bit of data entry.
