here is a note I received yesterday from Simon White giving us the latest news on the Copy Centre.

“Happy new year 🙂

I thought I’d provide a quick update to keep you and the team “in the loop”.

The Copy Centre has now moved into the new location but you probably already gathered that by now!

Today I had a meeting with Gary Busch regarding some minor capital works to the room to make the location operationally effective and improve customer access of services.

We plan to remove the glass only from front of the room, and then the carpenters will be able to reuse the old Copy Centre service counter from the undercroft to make this into a new serving counter-hatch from current materials on hand. This will be fairly simple to do and make the front student friendly without incurring too much cost and time. Gary hopes this can be done before start of semester one.

Stage two will include and simple security screen inside the service hatch later in the semester.

The above minor works also includes updated signage around and towards the Copy Centre plus we will aim to reuse old signage from downstairs.”
