Sara, eServices and I are aware of problems with each of the two big law databases (Lexis Advance and WestlawNZ).
In essence:
Lexis Advance. Students/staff need to log-in with yourusernameandnumber@canterbury.ac.nz [rather than @uclive]. The issue with the UC wireless has been resolved but if people are still having trouble we need to know.
WestlawNZ is currently not allowing two sessions in the same browser (i.e. if you use WestlawNZ then close the tab and try to access it in another tab it will show a white screen). The current resolution around this is to get students to clear their cache and use another browser (i.e. Explorer rather than Chrome) . We are working on a resolution to this problem.
We want to know when people are having a problem with either database especially if they come to the desk or ask on AskLive for help. It would help if they/you could send us a screenshot and the details of what browser they/you are using and if they/you are on/off campus.
