Turn off electronic equipment (including computers) if you are being fumigated

Kia ora koutou

According to IT (who’ve instructed central staff to switch off printers) electronic devices should be switched off if possible in areas that are to be fumigated over Easter.

To be on the safe side, please shut down your computers, printers  and other electronic equipment that is ok to switch off (Ricoh have confirmed the mopiers should cope just fine with a power holiday) before you go home for the long weekend.

Student computers in libraries should be ok – there are shutdown scripts that IT will run to turn them off.

EFTPOS reload stations can just be switched off at the wall power switch.
