Following on from ProQuest eBook user survey, here is the survey results:
There were 2,372 unique users. 2,238 users took part in the survey and 134 users chose to opt out. It is good response rate for such a short period when our undergraduates and postgraduates were preparing for or taking their exams.
College users study or work in — In the survey, users from College of Arts (771). Business & Law (553), Education, Health and Human Development (331) claim the first 3 places respectively. This order of placing matches the subject contents of our ProQuest eBooks. In the 165, 000 ProQuest eBooks we currently have access to, the majority of those eBooks are in Humanities and social sciences, business, law and education subject areas. The least users came from Engineering School because of we have very few engineering eBooks in ProQuest platform – Springer is the predominant provider for Engineering subject ebooks with about 20,000 engineering titles.
