The National Library of New Zealand, Archives New Zealand and Ngā Taonga Sound & Vision make a vital contribution to New Zealand’s culture heritage and democracy. The Government has decided to look into how this contribution can be strengthened.

The National Archival and Library Institutions Ministerial Group, led by the Minister of Internal Affairs Hon Tracey Martin and the Associate Minister for Arts, Culture and Heritage Hon Grant Robertson, has been set up to undertake this programme of work. More information on the Ministerial Group, including the Terms of Reference, can be found here.

Over the next five weeks officials from the Department of Internal Affairs and the Ministry for Culture and Heritage will be seeking feedback, to understand the interests and concerns of staff and stakeholders.

Your thoughts and ideas are vital to this process. Click here for more information on providing feedback. Please submit all feedback by Sunday 19 August 2018 to nalifeedback@dia.govt.nz. We are happy to answer any questions you may have.”
