Kia tuku atu ngā whakamanahau ki tō tātou Kaikomihana hōu…

Ngā Kaiwhakamārama i ngā Kohikohinga Kōrero – Library and Information Advisory Commission (LIAC) appointment

It is with great delight I let everyone know that Te Paea has been appointed as a Commissioner on the Ngā Kaiwhakamārama i ngā Kohikohinga Kōrero – Library and Information Advisory Commission (LIAC), for a three year term.

The Commission’s purpose is to provide advice to the Minister of Internal Affairs on library information issues in Aotearoa including Mātauranga Māori, access to services, the role of library information services (including Mātauranga Māori) in the cultural and economic life of Aotearoa and other matters as requested by the Minister.

Her work alongside IFLA, and now LIAC will no doubt provide opportunities for all of us to grow – to learn, to teach, to challenge, to achieve, to support, and to share.

I am sure we are all very proud of our colleague and friend’s achievements and no doubt we all look forward to being part of her journey.

E te māreikura, te rangatira, te tuahine, te tuākana – ko te pito o te ao kai a koe!

Nā mātou i runga i ngā whakaaro nui, ngā whakaaro roa.
