As requested by Customer Services ( to prioritise UC borrower’s use of our items over external members) we made a change to the auto recall program yesterday that means any item requested by an external/subscription borrower (xa btype) will not be auto recalled unless there is also a non-xa borrower in the request queue.

Items can still be recalled manually for external borrowers (these requests will appear on the  requests on items on long-term loan report) e.g. if an external borrower has an item out and another external borrower has requested it, it would be ok to manually recall.

Please let us know if you spot any recall problems as there may be unintended consequences of altering the auto recall program.
