Kia ora koutou, there have been some AskLive queries about accessing Taylor and Francis electronic journals. We should and do have access but currently can only access the latest issue. I am emailing eservices to let them know. Sometimes there is access to the journal through another vendor. Like Academic Search Complete for example from a query I had earlier. Check the catalogue for holdings and also when you are accessing full text from multisearch when you click on the full text online you can click on the Also available online from and choose another database if this is an option.

There were some problems reported on Friday by some Australian libraries, T&F said yesterday they should be fixed. Seemingly not…
So this is an Australasian (maybe Worldwide) issue then? Tell students to hold off for a bit as interloans is probably not going to be an option either?
Some sample searches look OK this morning but lots of Australasian libraries reporting problems so please continue to report any problems. It may be specific to some titles
Some titles are still affected – T&F claimed over the weekend it was fixed but we are reporting back this is not the case
This is affecting the CAUL libraries subscription so libraries outside NZ and Australia should be unaffected e.g. for interloan prospects.
If this isn’t fixed by the end of the day, should we put a notice up on LEARN and Library News? I’ve had 4 queries so far this morning, 2 relating to students trying to access course readings linked on LEARN…
The Interloans team are happy to deal with any queries for T&F articles we should subscribe to, and can contact them directly for a PDF to be emailed urgently.
Thanks Sue. I have two x disrupted tutorials being reported for Media-COMS to date. I’m hoping for a quick resolution as it’s such a large scale outage and many libraries must be reporting their grumpiness to T&F. Dave C.
Good news this morning – it should be okay now but please report any problems
Thanks for looking into this, Tim. Compliments on the effective comms to you all!
Yaay – that’s great news.
