Kia ora koutou,
for those of you who wish to, I’m putting together a hamper to take over to Security tomorrow (Thursday). This is to say thank you to them all for their support and especially to Craig.
Craig was the security guard that placed himself in the centre of the quad on Friday and tried to make sure everyone was safe in the Library/Matariki. He stood out side the entire time ushering students/staff and trying to reassure people, while still knowing that an unknown threat existed.
He stayed out there, in the rain and as a first line of defence, without any protection for the entire time. I know it was his job, but to me he was an absolute hero on that day (as Jane and I manned the outside front doors). Please feel free to sign a card for them too which I will be taking around the PJH building today.
Ngā mihi,
Rā
