Kia ora koutou
As those of you who have posted to Counterculture in the last couple of days have probably noticed – there has been a WordPress update (blog software behind Counterculture, Insiders Guide and Intercom) recently.
This has substantially changed the editing screen. Now when you click to add a new post you are confronted with a title box and a blank page. Basically, just start typing to add your text.
The editing menu is at the top left of the screen and has been simplified.
Bits of content (e.g. text, images/media, block quotes) are now referred to as blocks.
To add an image – hover over the “Start writing or type/to choose a block” grey text and click on the picture icon, or, to see all the block options and choose one, type / over the top of this phrase.
Publishing options are in a panel to the right (Document tab).
As the title block in the editing screen is set to display in all caps – we’ve now set the Counterculture blog post display to also display the title in all caps (before it was set to lowercase). Apologies for the shoutyness of the blog, but it was easier to change the display than it was to change the editing menu settings.
Ngā mihi,
Romy (on behalf of e-Services, sorry our profile name keeps reverting to Library Install in Counterculture…)
