Significance – can you help?

How can we better understand the value our work has to colleagues inside and outside the library?

In September last year many of you very helpfully completed a survey about how your work is valued inside and outside the Library.  This survey was the outcome of a project group tasked with looking at the OEI/OCI results for the Library over two surveys, where the causal factor of significance scored poorly both times.

The project group (Sara, Nicole, Linda, Anton and Kim) took the information you provided, analysed the data in Nvivo and came up with a report on the findings, and some recommendations on how we might improve our feelings of value and visibility.

The report is here:  K:\LIBR-Library\Projects\Significance\Significance-final-report-20190315.docx

The next step is to implement the recommendations and to explore all of the excellent suggestions that you provided in your survey responses.  We are looking for a team of 4 or 5 keen folk from across the Library to form the implementation group.  I will be the project sponsor, available for support, pep talks and cake as needed, but otherwise hands-off.

If you are interested in joining this group, could you please check with your manager and let me know by Friday 20 April.

Ngā mihi nui,

Sara
