We’ve had a few reports recently from UC people not being able to access our e-resources from their devices from public libraries when on the public library wifi.
If you get someone reporting error messages like “ezproxy.canterbury.ac.nz is not sending any data” or “connection reset” on AskLIVE and their IP address is 153.111.229.202 they are likely on the public library wifi and affected by this problem.
At this stage there doesn’t seem to be any way around this except them switching from the public library wifi to an alternative wifi network or mobile data/hotspot. Clearing browser cache or swapping browsers won’t resolve the problem.
We’re working with CCC librarians to try and get this resolved but it could take a while (we need to get the right person’s attention in City Council IT)
