It has been a while since our last update … To cut to the chase … Sara and I set ourselves the challenge of writing an Information Management Strategy* (this was recommendation 5 of the File Management Project Team).  We didn’t have a heap of time to work on this so we gave ourselves a couple of hours (in the spirit of “done is better than perfect”!)  And so we’re calling it an 8 out of 10 strategy.  The strategy has been discussed at Project Board and Library Managers Meetings and we have agreement from these groups to proceed with this.  In the spirit of “bite size chunks” (one of the earlier principles for progressing our file management) the plan is to put the Health and Safety information that is currently on the K drive onto SharePoint, as a pilot.  Sara and Tim will meet with members of the Health and Safety team to understand how we are using K:/LIBR-Library/Health-Safety at the moment as this will shape the next steps we take to move this information onto SharePoint.
